Terms of service and protection rules

IMPORTANT! These products are not toys! They work the same principles as real vehicles and equipment. Due to their performance these products can cause injuries on people arround you or destroy private property. To enjoy as much of these products, we advise that during
of the first construction and operation  to ask advice of experienced persons in this field. This way you will quickly learn the necessary assembly and use these products without risking of being damaged. Read  instructions manual before assembling. Contain important information and warnings about kit assembly and use. Keep the instructions in a safe place to read them whenever you need.

Do not start a model
assembling before consulting the technical manual that accompanies the model. Make sure you use the right tools and that they are in good working order.

General Precautions

1. Sierra ModellSport products intended for
persons with at least 14 years . If children, need to be under adult supervision when using these products.

2. Before you start building a model check assembly plans and schemes and all its constituent parts. Remember: do not rush into fitting model, follow the assembly plan and schemes to get a model as robust and focused.

3. Quality and reliability resulting from the assembly model kit depends on how it has been assembled, so we advise you to follow exactly the steps and pictures in the manual assembly

4. Throughout the installation must comply with the plans. Not harm the components and change parts, because it can result in an uncertain and unstable pattern. Follow the steps of execution.

5. RC system must be installed properly (where applicable) to work properly so

6. Check that the model works properly before and after each use

7. WARNING. Failing to respect this indications can lead to  private property
destruction, serious injury or even death.

Protection rules

Airplane: Keep people
(children) away from the engine when operating or it may be injured. Use proper size propeller. Make sure you have gathered well before starting the propeller. Protect your body when you adjust the engine propeller. Engine will not lean over while it is operating. Do not start the engine by free hand! Use an electric starter or a rubber thimble when you need to start the engine. Make sure spark plug wire is connected. DO NOT start the engine in dusty or sandy. Propeller may lead dust and throw them in the eye. While trying to start the engine we not recommend wearing loose clothing or scarves, which can be driven by propellers. Do not use your hands or other body parts to stop the engine (propeller). Never try to stop the engine by disposing of objects in the propeller. Check regularly the propeller. Replace any propeller that is nicked or cracked. Never try to repair the propeller. Vibration can cause the propeller. Check each time the clamping screw propeller and tighten it if necessary. If transported model with engine in function, be careful to propellers, the objects and people nearby.

Never fly near high tension wires, telegraph wires, trees, etc.

Do not start the engine in closed spaces such as garages or basements. These engines like those of the car, are producing carbon monoxide which is a deadly gas.

Model helicopters. Safety Issues
Remote control model helicopters are amazing machine, but are very difficult to control and are not toys. A helicopter is a model airplane remote control that requires a high level of technical knowledge and flying. We should not think to build a helicopter unless you are a modeller with important knowledge and
enough experienced.

You can learn about
helicopters reading books specialized  and scale models magazines. Helicopter manufacturers also produce books about helicopters and kits include detailed instructions. You can participate in any contest, demonstration or meeting modelers. Usually you should go to competitions or demonstrations to see drivers with more experience and ask for your problems. Never listens to the advice that think they are more experienced than the manufacturers and will try to convince you that model only works if you do certain "modifications". Overall, these discussions can offer good advice, but also bad advice. Values of various parameters must be adjusted only after data manually.

construction - Follow the instructions carefully and order in their hand. Work carefully and use only original parts. Do not change anything in the construction of the helicopter. This applies to the last screw to assemble the model. Carefully install the RC system. Install the servos in their places. A small mistake can result in a dangerous machine.

Helicopter pilotage - Use only high quality RC
system for helicopter pilotage.
Check that you have no interference on your frequency.

WARNING: - moving rotor blades are very dangerous. Never fly near people or animals. If problems occur during the flight landed, repaired and then launch the new flight session. Do not launch again without taking the necessary steps.

Helicopter repair - Carefully examine all parts of the helicopter. If any part is damaged, replace it all with an original part. Repaired with the same care that you have built the model. Remember, a bad repair means a dangerous model for all others.

Model Boats: During the mounting of the model boats pay attention to small parts, not to be swallowed by children. Do not launch the model boat on the crowded places, there is danger of accidents.

Engine heat up considerably during operation. Do not touch them until cool. Make sure you have gathered well before starting the propeller. Protect your face and body when you adjust the engine propeller. Do not start/stop engine with free hand (or propeller spun finger)!

Never dispose objects in the propeller to stop the engine. Check regularly propeller. Replace any propeller that is nicked, cracked, cracked. Never try to repair the propeller. Engine vibration can cause the propeller. Check every time attachment of the propeller screw and tighten it if necessary.

Carrying engine model on, be careful to propellers, the objects and people nearby. While trying to start the engine do not recommend wearing loose clothing or scarves, which can be driven by propellers.

Model Cars: Do not drive a model car in crowded places, pay attention to young children around. These models can develop considerable speed (40 - 100 km/h) that can cause serious injuries in case of impact. During mounting the model car pay attention to small parts, not to be swallowed by children. Engine heat up considerably during operation. Do not touch the motor immediately after the race.

Thermal and electric motors: The motor that you bought will be performing and will be a source of satisfaction and pleasure if you follow the instructions and warnings in order to use it properly. Keep the fun turn into tragedy !! Only you are responsible for using the engine, so use it carefully. The engines is not toys, but a set made with precision, whose power can hurt both you and others if abused it and if not read the instructions.

Keep a safe distance from spectators at least 10 steps towards them.

Mount the engine corectly on a test bench or on frame model, not in a metal vise.

Do not touch or allow any object come in contact with the propeller or wheels while they revolve, not leaning over the engine while it runs.

A damaged or cracked propeller may disintegrate. Pieces of it can be thrown with power during engine operation (the propeller tip speed can reach 220 m/s) may result in serious injuries here.

Thermal and electrical micromotors generates a significant amount of heat. Do not touch any part of it until it has cooled.

Do not start the engine in areas with sand or stones, as can be hung by cast propeller and propeller are weak.

Heat engines always use a silencer - used repeatedly without an engine muffler can cause hearing damage. Also, noise may result disturb people nearby.

It is recommended to use an electric starter to start engines.

It will also advise you to wear goggles during startup. Take care when using the engine start and the spark plug wire comes into contact with the propeller. After starting the engine make all adjustments from behind the propeller.

Stop the motor if you want to change something in the model. Adjust carburetor command so that when your throttle stick and trim are in zero position, the engine to stop. As an alternative for stopping the engine is fuel pipeline eights. Do not try to stop the engine in other ways !!

Fuel: The fuel scale models will be used exclusively for supplying heat micromotors!! Any other use is forbidden! Fuel used by these engines is very toxic, avoid contact with his skin, eyes or mouth. Always store fuel in a container marked to not have access to children. Fuel is highly flammable. Store fuel away from sources of ignition, plugs, sparks or other heat sources that could ignite. Do not let anybody near open flames. Do not smoke or allow anyone else to smoke near fuel. If an accident rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice immediately.

Radio Control Systems: Rule No. 1 in scale models: the receiver should not be connected to AC power if the transmitter is turned off. Otherwise injuries, losses
or damages arising from equipment - for which no guarantee is given. Check mechanical and electrical connections before each use of the model. Check the batteries in transmitter and receiver before use. Always make sure that frequency used is not used by anyone nearby in the same time. Antenna should be fully extended and fixed on the model to avoid catching the propeller or wheels. Do not cut the antenna wire and not bend it because it negatively affects the range of RC system.

Li-Po batteries - Precautions for use
General Information: Lithium Polymer Batteries (abbreviation: LiPo) require special attention and care. Careless use of these batteries can cause explosions, fires, smoke and risk of intoxication.

1. Charging
1-1 Charge voltage:
These batteries should be charged with a charger specifically designed for this purpose. Charge to less than 4.3 V per cell, this value represents the maximum voltage that you can reach on a cell. Is prohibited from charging higher values, because this will cause permanent cell damage and fire respectively.

1-2 Charge current:
Li-Po batteries can be charged according to package directions (1-5C, C is cell capacity). Load currents greater than those recommended may cause decreased cell performance, cell overheating or fluid leaking from it.

1-3 Reverse charging:
Polarity reversal in loading is prohibited. These packages must be properly connected. Polarity must be confirmed before making connections. Polarity reversal can lead to loss of cells and destroy their safety, that there is the possibility of internal fluid flow. You can also overheat the cells.

2. Discharging
2-1 Discharge current: - LiPo batteries can be discharged according to package directions. Large currents decrease considerably discharge capacity and lead to cell overheating.

2-2 Working temperature is in the range -10 to 60 degrees Celsius

2-3 Deep discharge: - Normal LiPo batteries begin to discharge at a voltage of 4.2 V and complete this operation on 3.0 V

Discharging these packages at a lower voltage of 2.6 V per cell is deep discharge status and cause permanent damage to the cell, thus being necessary to avoid this situation. A cell or LiPo pack located in a state of deep discharge will have no warranty for the product.
The consumer has the right to return the product to the supplier without penalty and without giving any reason within 10 days from receiving of product. The product must be returned unused in original packaging, accompanied by all documents, as they were received from Sierra ModellSport.
Reimbursement will be made within 30 days after returning the product to the supplier.

By non-returning the product in terms and conditions mentioned above this means that you all are aware of safety rules included in this document and will be forced to respect.
